Qalqilia

               the city of beauty and succulence as of the availability of water and green lands around it , although of the lacks of famous ancient antiquarian landmarks also it is commercial city that attracts business men and shoppers from other cities and arabs (48) to visit. 
  

 City area :          

            The city of Qalqilia, Located in the northwest of West Bank has its roots and origins in the Canaanite era. The name “Qalqilia” goes back to the Roman time, and European Mediaeval sources like its contemporary residents refer to it as “Kalkilia” QALQILIA is Sitting atop the Western Aquifer Basin, the region of Qalqilya is known for its high agricultural productivity for olives, citrus fruits , and vegetable

orchards.

 Location:     

             Qalqilia is situated 12k.m from the Mediterranean coast, on the border between Israel and the West Bank and this situation gives it a big importance as intersection between Palestinian cities   north ,south , east and west besides acting as station for trade convoys . 

 Climate:       

          Qalqilia has a temperate Mediterranean climate; rainy and warm in winter. Hot in summer with humidity levels reaching 70% during July and August. Annual average rainfall is 550mm, The city’s altitude ranges from 45-125 meters above sea level .

 Population:   

         Qalqilia city has 45.000 inhabitants, and an annual growth rate 3.8%.
